Music + Tech -> Perl Programmer Needed

They make music and tech work together to support independent artists. Yeah, that sounds like such a stereotypical battle cry, coming from a bunch of rebels who want to change the music industry. But really, they are doing it. Have been doing it for quite some time at that.

As the company is small, they feel like start-up, but can’t really be called one anymore. They’ve been around for too long. Thankfully, they still hosts gigs in their offices. They never got bored of that particular part of the job.

Speaking of their offices, they are based in Shoreditch. It’s a place where hipsters are still allowed to roam free. In fact, the offices are typically hipster cool. So if you don’t like beards, hate funky haircuts and absolutely can’t stand speciality coffee…you might have to look around for another place to work.

While their offices aren’t massive, international expansion is imminent. This is where you come in. No, you won’t get a one-way ticket to a paradise island just yet, but you will help build a Modern Perl platform for the international expansion. Their team uses Catalyst, TT, Moose with Plack and mod_perl, as well as the sensible testing tools you’d expect. They have a multi-technology approach, also using Node for some services, Elastic Search, nginx, and Postgres. Deployment is managed using Ansible.

In short, you need to be a great programmer with a love of music who’s up for a new challenge.
